Is Third Time a Charm for Fred Thompson? (Frank Donatelli)
Former Senator Fred Thompson hasn’t even announced his candidacy yet, but he is already on his THIRD campaign manager. Britney Spears keeps husbands longer than Thompson keeps campaign managers. In any case, he has hired the widely respected Bill Lacy, who had been running Bob Dole’s Library in Lawrence, Kan., to manage his campaign. Good luck to Bill because he will have his work cut out for him.
Thompson will be the flavor du jour in September when he finally does announce. However, Lacy will have to sustain this momentum, raise a ton of money, organize the early primary states, and put a compelling platform in place in a matter of four months.
As Han Solo of “Star Wars” would say, “I got a bad feeling about this.”

He just listened to me (and a few others) who could not understand the Spencer Abraham selection. I'm back rooting for the one, the only, the great Fred Thompson!

Isn't "testing the waters" exactly the place where you find out who your team is going to be. From the top down to your favorite pizza delivery?…Ohh! That's right, a crystal ball is how Frank does it. Frank has greased the palms of so many tea leaf readers with warts on their noses so he might save his valuable time when he's going to campaign…wait, dont' tell me, you found the one that you believe works the best is black with an infinity sign on it ( 8 ), one of a kind they told you, right Frank??

Says a lot that a pundit would think that campaign manager is a closer relationship than husband (even for Britney)
