Best of Luck to Tony Snow (Brent Budowsky)

@ 1:11 pm

This is Tony Snow's last day at the White House, and it's a good time to say he is a class act and wish him well.

I do not agree with many things he says, and suspect some of them he does not agree with either, but must say because of his position.

Be that as it may, Tony Snow is a good man, who brings civility to politics and government, who can take strong positions yet be viewed with respect by those with other points of view.

As Tony leaves the White House and re-enters the private sector, best of luck to him in all his endeavors.

As he wages his courageous battle with cancer, the prayer here is that he finds a full recovery and, with all his family and friends, enjoys a long and happy life, and career, wherever his journey takes him next.

Tony, may the wind be at your back, and the sun shine on your smile.

  2. Brent, I must just be in a contrarian mood this morning, but you lose me on this one. Class act?

I find it interesting that Tony Snow talks about earning money now. How much money, or career aspirations do you need to spend every deay on your job, lying through your teeth? How many people would cancel their personal integrity to be a front man for what amounts to killing people or cutting the floor out from under the American working family?

I find Tony Snow contemptuous, as I did his predecessors, the liars McClelland and Fleischer. If these liars weren't making enough money, while they were assisting in the destruction of our nation, then hopefully they will stand trial in a war crimes tribunal, next to their former employers.

The only difference I see in Tony Snow is that he always seemed to inject some intellect into his misguided notions, as opposed to the authoritarian sociopaths that are his minions. That's obviously more than we can say about the likes of Coulter, Hannity, and some of my fellow bloggers on here.

I do wish him better health. He looks very bad, and hopefully it's from his cancer treatment, and not a worsening health picture. I sincerely hope that he is around a long time to fight the misguided fight of the right. He is unique in their crowd.
