Clinton Campaign Will Be About Race (Dick Morris)
Did Bill Clinton mean that the entire Obama campaign was a "fairy tale," or was he only referring to the specifics of the Iraq debate? Was Hillary belittling Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., or was she just recognizing the impact of President Johnson in passing the Civil Rights Laws of 1964 and 1965?
Normally the Clintons would be entitled to the benefit of the doubt given their record of support for minority rights. But the context of this presidential contest suggests that he racial references were deliberate and only the start of a long campaign of racial innuendo.
This race will be about race. The essential Clinton argument will be that Obama cannot win because he is black. The attack will be cloaked in seemingly innocuous rhetoric and code words will abound, but the fact will remain that the Clintons will be telling Democrats: Don't take a chance on an African-American nominee.
We need to dissect and deconstruct all the Clinton words to determine whether there is a racial implication beneath them. Often it will be there.

Try all you want, Dick, the dems will be united in November 2008. What a cheesy attempt to demagogue.

Now that politics is broken down into gender and race, it depends on who can get the most sympathy for their specialty. That's the real experience in this race, playing the members of the public who believe they are a victim of some sort.

Another of my posts removed by Mr. Morris. He is truly Mr. FOX News. I stated that his post is stupid.

In all fairness to Dick, he did predict these race-related innuendos by the Clinton camp right after Iowa. Very prescient.

I think with all these, shall we say, STRANGE comments coming out of the Hillary campaign, one way or another (thru Hillary, Bill or some surrogate), it shows voters that the Clintons will do anything to win.
So far there's been:
Obama's NAME - (OSAMA)
Obama's Religion - (muslim extremist)
Obama's Not Black enough
Obama's which is he, black or white
Obama's not experienced enough
Obama's Hope message - Dr King needed President
Obama's Fairy Tale - on war stance or campaign?
Obama's winning endorsement of Nevada union - now Teachers union is suing (yet they didn't say a word until after Obama got endorsed)
The only thing that might be an actual campaign issue is Obama's experience

I forgot to add that nobody MADE the Clintons and their helpers SAY these things - so if race is being played - they started it.
I forgot one more thing….Obama's having done drugs when a teenager - even tho Obama was the first to ADMIT it in his own book.

I guess it all depends on whether you inhaled or not or if there's a blue dress involved in the situation.

African-Americans now see the light when it comes to Bill and Hill. They now understand that it may take a village to handle minority issues, but are not so sure if they want to give the job to a "village full of nuts".

Coonsey said "I forgot one more thing….Obama’s having done drugs when a teenager - even tho Obama was the first to ADMIT it in his own book"
and remember Bill didn't inhale.
Make you sort of wonder if Bill Clinton wasn't rolling up blunts with those cigars of his in the first place.

Thank you for being truthful.
As a 63 year old, native NC African-American female, I REMAIN confused how the Clinton campaign thought they could AGAIN get away with this latest racist ploy.
I struggle with understanding how being a GOLDWATER GIRL in 1964 translate into being a "civil rights" advocate? MLK was murdered in 1968, so when was Hillary redeemed?
I struggle with how being the First Lady "counts" as EXPERIENCE. The White House website (First Ladies) says that Hillary began her "active role" in 1993. How do 15 years count as VAST EXPERIENCE?
I struggle with how I can be expected to "re-elect" Bill Clinton by voting for his surrogate, thereby continuing a dynastic view of the presidency.
I struggle with whether or NOT I will vote for Hillary when she is anointed the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.
