The Hill welcomes comment from anyone and will almost always post it whether it is favorable or critical, as long as it is substantive and advances debate.

  1. AB, you continue to be excellent. Why are these things so short? Here is my sage advice, again: start dropping 40 minute videos like this. You have the knowledge. You have the topics. You have the opinions. And you are usually dead on. Start doing 40 minutes, so you can parlay this medium into an hour long show when Tucker or Matthews, both of whom I love immensely, get canned. MSNBC needs a decent 9PM show, and a hot blonde opining and lambasting political elite. Working professionals like myself need a decent political program at 9PM, but we also want to look at something pretty. I say you, more than any other guest, need your own show. You're constantly dead on and don't have an agenda. If, by some chance, this post turns into you making Russert money, I would like a cut, or maybe a car, or a hot tub, or a guest spot. We'll call it "opinions from the heart" because I am from Ohio.

  2. AB, with Thompson running "interference" for McCaine, (against Huckabee), that facilitated a win for John McCaine in S. Carolina.
I think the Republican Ticket has emerged:
McCaine for the military minded and elites, and
Thompson, who is working to prop up McCain, staying in the race himself, and chosen for his Southern and Evangelical appeal.
    Anyone care to comment?

  3. N.B. I think that the Republican Party intends a McCain/Thompson Ticket.

Not so much, that I think it's a good idea.

  4. Ahead of your next column on the CNN Democratic debate from Myrtl Beach, SC let me say that this was one of the best debates of the primary season. It is true that Clinton and Obama got most of the airtime and spent too much of their precious minutes on personal accusations and rebuttals but there still was a great deal of debate on substantive issues. Despite his third-candidate status I though Edwards put in his best performance so far in tonight's debate. He continues to be a viable candidate in my view despite his poor showing in the earlier primary polls. Compared to the Republican debates which fill me with a sense of despair for the future, all three Democratic candidates make me feel hopeful and proud for the future. I agree with cherylo's comment on the role that Thompson is filling in the Republican primaries.

  5. Ralph - agree.

So, why, AB, aren't you calling the pundits on this lack of coverage? THIS is the original sin…the buy-out and subsequent sell-out of the media. Evidently, it doesn't concern you much.
