The Hill welcomes comment from anyone and will almost always post it whether it is favorable or critical, as long as it is substantive and advances debate.

  1. The NYT didn't say or insinuate there was any hanky panky between the sheets between McCain and Iseman. That was brought out by dirty minded men and women of the "Right".

McCain's close relationship with Iseman and his play acting for the news media propaganda Anti Lobby stance were a contradiction at best.

  2. John McCain, if elected President, will be a Ulysses S.Grant type President.

Regardless of his personal integrity, he is such a bad judge of character and so blind to the ulterior motives of those around him, he will certainly preside over an Administration of deep and wide corruption.

  3. I wonder if Robert would care to comment on US Grant's years in the US Senate? I suppose one must expect these partisans to try to spin any story.

I have my problems with McCain over immigration and campaign finance but his experience in Washington far exceeds either of the two Democrats' and his ethical situation, as will become more clear in months to come, has no comparison to either of the others'. Ask Obama about Rezko before you slime McCain.

  4. McCain slimmed himself by writing the "Military Commissions Act of 2006″ attacking our rights of habeas corpus.

All this opposition to Bush propaganda by McCain was only a play to the cameras and news media.

In the MCA McCain gives Bush retroactive immunity for war crimes and allows Bush to define Torture so naturally Bush says Water boarding isn't torture. Bush knows "We do not torture" because he is the source of that definition.

McCain is a traitor to his oath of office.
