Obama Makes Right Decision (Bill Press)
Oh, my God. Did you hear what Barack Obama did?
He went back on his word. After once pledging to accept public financing, he’s now announced he’s rejecting it, in order to be able to raise and spend all he wants.
Yes, Obama broke his promise. He flip-flopped. And you know what I say? Good for him! At least he flipped in the right direction.
I think Obama made the right decision for one simple reason: Republicans are so desperate to hold onto the White House that they’ll throw the kitchen sink at Barack Obama. It’s going to get down and dirty. And I want Obama to have every dollar he needs to fight back.
Besides, the old arguments for public financing don’t really apply to the Obama campaign. Today’s system of taxpayer-funded campaigns was designed to prevent fat cats from buying the White House.
But Obama’s found another, more democratic, solution to the problem. His whole campaign is based not on a few big checks from major contributors, but on millions of little checks from average Americans: truck drivers, secretaries, construction workers, all excited to write their first political check ever — for five bucks or 25 bucks — and then write another one.
Obama, in other words, has reinvented campaign finance. So let McCain whine all he wants. Even if he outspends McCain 3 to 1, Obama will win with the little people, not the special interests. And, besides, he’ll save us taxpayers $85 million.

I'm not surprised that liberals approve of lying and deceiving the public when it's done by other liberals. It is something to celebrate, in Liberal land.

Ha…if the roles were reversed, do u think McCain would give up his fundraising advantge?…

RR;
Your boy McCain started the lying when he opted in to public financing to get on teh Ohio ballot, secure a loan and then opted out when he felt like it. It's tough being a hypocrite.

Obama is a hypocrite. How do you think he got into the Senate in the first place? On the funding of lobbyists and PACs. If you don't believe me, check out his FEC filings from the one and only time he campaigned for Congreess.
So he won't take lobbyist and PAC money now, and he convinced the DNC not to do it either. But when he asked Democrats to give up lobbyist and PAC money guess what they told him — stuff it Barack!

Obama is a liar, and nothing anyone says or does can change that.

Messiah can do no wrong. If you think he did something wrong, that's proof YOU are wrong.

Here is a great information graphic explaining how Obama is able to decline the public financing.

When did McCain decide to take public money?
At the last minute when he learned he would get much less if he didn't.
