There was a devistating hurricane again this weekend, ia it possible that had something to do with M/P missing th evangelical meeting?
I understand Obama backed out of Saturday Night Live due to the weather disaster.

Some good analysis there but your only significant criticism of Obama IMO is his running of computer literacy adds. The Wal Mart moms he needs to get back won't be impressed.'
He also needs to get passionate, like you and others are saying.
But you left out the fact that Palin is getting lots of scrutiny by the NY Times, the underground press, and the Tabloids. She's got a lot of dirt (organic compost, maybe?) and baggage in her tenure. and it won't be all ignored like it was with Edwards. There's too much at stake.
Palin could turn out to be more of a liability than an asset, if people start reading the facts, and get over the superficial image they've been infactuated with, to see the empress has no clothes.

It's obvious to me that Barack Obama is a Hurricane Whisperer telling Gustav and Ike to avoid the New Orleans French Quarter.

In the alternative universe, Palin is treated VERY favorably by the media:

I agree, A.B. The McCain team may be successful but any impression that McCain is running an honorable campaign is history.
McCain and his team of lobbyists have shown that there is no concern for truth.
They will stoop to the lowest level to keep power in the hands of the oilmen and their cronies who have taken us to war on a pack of lies, causing the deaths of 1,000,000 Iraqis and 4157 American military.
If their willing to kill a million for their oil agenda, why is it any surprise for them to use lies, distortions and slander to keep the oil agenda supreme?
They have a propaganda machine worthy of Goebbels. A sad day for America!

smilinjack, yeah, now it's McCain lied people died. What a creative combination of the two themes: McSame and Bush-killer. Pathetic!

#5. McCain isn't closing in on Obama anywhere. With McCain being such an 'honorable' and "maverick' person, why isn't he ahead by a landslide? Could it be that to be 'honerable' one has to be 'honest'?

The honor or lack of honor of a campaign is steered by the ability of the American press to lay down the truth before the public, and frankly, they've laid down on the job. For instance, there is the issue of Barack and his ability to organize a community. The only people we know that he organized was Bill Ayres, a community bomb thrower, and Reverend Wright, a community hate monger. That appears to be Barack's main community organizer thrust, organizing people who hate America.

#12, you are showing displaced anger.
Comment by Yvonne — September 16, 2008 @ 10:24 am
#13: American citizens are probably angry that a two bit phony like Barack went to a church were racism and anti-American propaganda were followed with enthusiasm. Wouldn't those types of practices be classified as anger problems? They sound bitter, clinging to religion. Let's hope they don't get guns or more bombs and attack the rest of us. Thanks for your response.
Comment by Robert Rosencrans — September 16, 2008 @ 11:01 am
Yvonne, maybe he is not ahead because Obama is a better public speaker when he has a teleprompter? Maybe Obama has been successful in portraying him as McBush, and Bush isn't too popular? These are standard explanations, lack of honor seems like it suspiciously close to the theme de jour from the Obama camp.
